Stanovišče is a small village on the hillside above the Nadiža valley, between Kobarid and the Italian border. It is quiet here. The bigger places are a quarter of an hour to an hour's drive away.

In summer
Swimming in the Nadiža
In summer the Nadiža is warmer than the Soča and has shallow pools. You can walk down to the river at Podbela in half an hour; the way back is uphill. By car it takes 12 minutes.

There are lots of things to do and places to visit nearby: boat trips, canoeing, paragliding, a waterfall, a gorge, cycling, swimming in the river. The landscape is wonderful. The accommodation is on a hill but easy to reach. We were there in the last days of August and it wasn't crowded with tourists.”

How to get here
- From elsewhere in SloveniaDrive to Kobarid, then towards Breginj. From Kobarid it is 12 km, about 17 minutes. From Ljubljana the whole drive is around two hours.
- From ItalyFrom Cividale del Friuli follow the Natisone valley to the Robič border crossing; from there it is 12 minutes to us.
- By planeTrieste airport is about 1 hour 25 minutes by car, Ljubljana airport about two hours.
